Last month Atlantic Technologies hosted an event with two of their key UK partners at London’s iconic building, The Gherkin. With three of the most inspiring thought-leaders from cloud computing in one room, we could not resist interrogating them. We spoke to the founders of Atlantic Technologies, SalesTrip and Precursive about the impact that their companies are having on the rapidly evolving business landscape.

How are Atlantic Technologies working with their partners to shape the future of business?

Speed is the new currency of business with a fast, flexible workplace

“The future of work is all about flexibility. Companies are moving to a decentralised way of working. The workforce is a combination of permanent staff, freelancers, contract staff, subcontractors, and third-party contractors. The workplace, I think, has irrevocably changed for the better since I started working 20 years ago.” Jonathon Corrie, founder of Precursive stated. “In the future, we are going to see a breakdown of barriers between teams, companies, and countries. Technology is at the forefront of making that happen. Everyone has to move faster, speed is the currency of business now. Everyone is used to having what they want at the click of a button, and the workplace needs to respond to that. Everyone wants to be more agile, everyone wants to deliver better outcomes. The future is how you get time back to deliver that.”

Business technology will enable people to do more of their job, with less of the admin.

“Everybody has limited time and money to spend in the world. Your workforce has an eight or nine-hour day. The intention as a business owner is to make sure your team has the right tools and resources so that they don’t spend 10-20% of their time doing administrative jobs.” Remarks SalesTrip founder Manoj Ganapathy. “By using innovative business tools to do administrative thinking for you, the user will become more productive, spend the time on their job-role, and have a better work-life balance.”

Happiness is at the forefront of employee productivity, and time is money. As the use of technology rapidly increases, human connection is key. The future of business is emotive.

A recent study by economists at the University of Warwick found that happiness led to a 12% spike in productivity, while unhappy workers proved 10% less productive. As the research team put it, “We find that human happiness has large and positive causal effects on productivity. Positive emotions appear to invigorate human beings.”

Our product is cloud technology, our job is understanding efficiency, advocacy, analytics, productivity, competition and happiness.
